Disney

We had a blast on our trip! I tried to update daily but we kept extremely busy every day!! We spent Wednesday at Disney Hollywood Studios. It was a chilly over cast day. The kids had a blast there and enjoyed the rides. Braeden loved the Star Wars ride. We didn't think he would want to go on it but he did willingly. He was timid of most of the rides but hoped right on the Star Wars ride. He went twice! We were able to meet the Cars characters, Buzz and Woody and some Playhouse Disney Characters. After we left the park we went to Downtown Disney to go shopping. What a mistake!! It was pouring rain out by the time we got to downtown. We waited it out for awhile in the van but the kids could only sit so long. We decided to just make a run for it. We bought ponchos and umbrellas that of course were way overpriced. The rain turned into a mist after we made our purchases and we ended up not needing anything. We shopped for awhile but it was chilly and the kids were less than thrilled with shopping. Braeden just wanted to do rides! We decided to leave and go out to supper and make it an early night. It worked out great because the kids were able to get to bed early.

Thursday was our last day at the parks. We asked the kids where they wanted to go and we went back to Magic Kingdom. We got there early and headed for the rides that typically have the longest lines. We were able to get on a bunch pretty quickly and then got fast passes for the others. It was a great last day! I don't think we could've squeezed one more thing into our day. It was only 34 degrees when we started our day. By the end of the day it was up to 50 but windy so it was chilly. We decided to head back to our resort before the sun went down and it would get cold again. It worked out great! We had a low key supper in our room, packed, let the kids have fun in the huge jacuzzi tub and put everyone to bed early.

I hate when vacations end! It is so depressing but this vacation was a good one to end. We were all so tired! We could've used a few more pool days at the end to just rest. We had fabulous weather the whole week. It only rained 1 day and the temps were in the upper 70s all week except for the last 2 days. We can't complain at all! It was definitely a memorable trip for all of us.

We were able to get a direct flight on the way home due to bad storms on the East Coast. It worked out great because we were back into Mankato by 3:30 in the afternoon. My mom made us supper so we didn't have to worry about that. Thanks mom!! It was great to be able to visit with her and the kids loved telling her all about our trip. We have spent the rest of the weekend catching up on sleep. We have all been so exhausted. Nick and I did get out Saturday night for a much deserved date night. It was perfect! The kids had one of their favorite babysitters come and Nick and I got to have supper and go to a movie!! Now we are back into reality.
