Kenny Chesney and Baptism

WOW...that is all I can say about my fabulous weekend! Friday at 2:45pm my husband calls and tells he got free tickets to Kenny Chesney. I finished up my work for the day and off we went to the concert! It was amazing!! Nick had never been to a concert and was excited to go even to a country concert. Kenny Chesney put on an amazing concert. He sang until midnight. We didn't get home until 2:30am but it was worth it. We made a stop at Perkins on France Ave on our way home! The ham and cheese omelet was amazing!! ;)

Saturday we celebrated Rylan's Baptism! He did an amazing job. Nick and I are so proud to be his godparents. He was baptized with his cousin Joseph who was born in December. What an amazing day to share with your cousin.

This week the kids are off of school and home for spring break. Lets hope the attitudes today aren't how they will be all week!

Get Lucky Race

This past weekend we headed to the cities for the Get Lucky Run on Saturday. We stayed in a hotel Friday and Saturday night. I did the race on Saturday morning. It was crazy! There was over 5,000 people running in the race. The course was crowded but so much fun. I had a blast running my first race of the year. It was quite chilly out so the kids and Nick froze waiting for me to cross the finish line. We quickly went and got hot chocolate for the kids and headed to the pool to hang out for the day. It was a great weekend and really refreshing to get out of town for a few days!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Getting pictures of all three kids proves to still be a challenge when you have a two year old! Charlie does it only when he wants to. If someone touches him and he didn't want to be touched forget about it! This is demonstrated in the picture of him laying on the ground. Stinker!! This two shall pass because look at B and Emma! They love to take pictures. B said right away this morning..."mom we have to take a picture of all of us in our shirts because we do it every year!" Too cute!!

Happy Birthday to my sister Ali! Wish we could go out for a drink with you tonight! Love you lots and hope you have a fabulous day free of tests!!

Emma had Kindergarten Round Up today. It is so hard to believe she is old enough to be going to Kindergarten, but on the same note it is hard to believe she isn't already in Kindergarten! She had a blast at school with the teachers.

Tsunami

WOW...that is all I can say about everything that is going on right now. I feel awful for Japan and what they are going through. My parents are vacationing in Hawaii right now and experienced the Tsunami threat on Friday. They said that they were impressed by how everything was handled. They were given information all throughout the evening and early morning hours. Mom seemed a little unsettled when the first sirens went off but who wouldn't be! Maui sustained a 9 foot swell that flooded the downtown shopping district but mom and dad were fine. Their resort didn't not have any damage. What a relief. We are all thankful everything is fine and they are able to enjoy the rest of their trip.

We are sending our prayers out to the people in Japan. I can't imagine what they are going through. The pictures and video are heart wrenching!!

First Race

I am 6 days away from running my first race of the year. I am so excited and can't wait for the year to begin. It is a 7K in Minneapolis on Saturday. The temperatures are suppose to be in the 40s so it could be a great day for the race. We are going to make a weekend trip out of it with the kids. Now I just hope that I do as well as I hope to.

Milwaukee

We went to Milwaukee last weekend to visit Nick's brother and his family. It was such a quick trip but so much fun. Emma and Lydia are only 5 months apart. They are two peas in a pod. It is so fun to see them have a blast with one another. Emma really enjoys having a girl in her life. All the cousins on my side are boys. Emma is the only girl and surround by trucks and light sabers. We walked into Zak and Susan's and Emma instantly was in love. There were girl toys everywhere. Lydia's room was filled with bins of dress up clothes. HOW PERFECT! She was in heaven all weekend. She slept in Lydia's room and didn't want to leave. She can't wait to go back with Nana and Papa in a few months. I am so glad they are close and have fun together. Here are some pictures from our weekend. We took the kids to the Children's Museum and made homemade pizzas. I don't think it could've gotten any better for my kids. Thanks Zak and Susan! We look forward to coming back in the summer.

2 Year Old

Charlie is quite the character lately. He copies everything and really loves his brother. He imitates everything Braeden does. I would have to say he is definitely TWO! He can be a 'smarty pants' and then he can sweet as can be.

I have to write this so I can record this moment. I don't ever want to forget it! I always say to the kids, at bed time, "good night sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite if they do hit them with your shoe until they are black and" Charlie "YELLOW!" Silly boy! It cracked me up because I was expecting him to say blue and he comes out with YELLOW as plain as day.

Bye Auntie Ali :(

We had such a great time with Ali! I hate saying good bye to her especially when we don't know when we will see her again. The time goes by so fast. The kids loved having her home. She read them books every night, played with them every day, made rice krispie treats and even dyed Easter eggs with them. What a fun week for everyone! We will be planning a trip out to Michigan to visit in the fall or summer. Depending on how busy she is this summer.

We LOVE you Ali and miss you so much!

Auntie Alli

Alli came home for a visit. We were all able to keep the secret from Molly. Last night Alli and I headed over to Molly's to surprise her. Molly was surprised and Rylan got to see his Auntie Alli for the first time!

Cutest Statement

I have to record this because I think it was so adorable. Tonight at supper my dad sat down to visit with the kids. Emma says to my dad..."Papa Papa Papa..I want golf putts this summer!" I was like golf putts, what are golf putts. Then I looked at her and said oh you mean golf clubs! How cute! My kids are all so in to golf right now it is adorable. I think it melted Papa's heart and that little girl might get her golf putts!!

Busy Times

My business is so busy right now. I feel I neglect a few things in life...my blog...so that I can spend my spare time with my kids. I took the afternoon off today and I am loving it. My parents leave for Hawaii tomorrow and I am so JEALOUS!! 16 days in Hawaii would be wonderful right now....SIGH...some day. Molly is over visiting with Rylan. He is such a doll and is getting so big. It is hard to believe he is 3 weeks old already. We are watching mom pack her stuff and playing with Rylan. The kids love having their cousin here to play with...well look at. Braeden said hi and then ran to play the Wii.

B is getting so big and growing up too fast. He has started to call us mom and dad instead of mommy and daddy. It is growing on me I guess but it is also rubbing off on Charlie. Charlie has started to call us mom and dad and it just sounds odd coming from a toddler that is just learning to talk. He is trying to learn responsibility right now. We have had issues with him losing some things or not turning things in. I believe he gets caught up with his friends and spaces things out BUT he still needs to figure this out. We are working on it.

Emma is loving all Nana's fun cds that she can borrow. We have been listening to Taylor Swift for a few weeks now. She cranks it up and dances away. It is precious but it would be nice if we could listen to a different cd every once in a while!! She is quite the entertainer though and I just love her imagination. She keeps us giggling and frustrated all at the same time. Her brothers do just about anything she says! Cracks me up that they cater to her. She eats it up that is for sure.

Charlie is potty trained! Wahoo...it was a lot easier than I remember. He has had a few accidents but life is a lot better with out diapers! He is even dry at night so we don't need them at all anymore. It is a wonderful savings that is for sure. He is an awesome basketball player. He really has surprised me at how high he can shoot the ball. It is really cute! He jumps up and then throws the ball with one hand. I need to get it on video. Every time I try he gets shy and hides.

I will do better about updating. We don't have anything exciting going on right now. Life is just busy in general.
