We had a great, hectic, chaotic, fun filled weekend! We fit a lot in, in a short amount of time. After Braeden birthday parties were over we were able to just enjoy the nice weather. Sunday we headed to the lake and spent the day with the Otto's. It was so beautiful out and a great day for the first pontoon boat ride of the year. We all got some sun, some of us got too much!! The kids stayed at the lake Sunday night and Nick and I enjoyed a night out on the town. It was great to go out and not have ot worry about the kids. They had a blast and slept really well for Nana and Papa. Monday Nick golfed and I took the kids to the pool for the day. It was windy and over cast so it wasn't as beautiful as Sunday. The kids didn't care and enjoyed swimming in the pool. Braeden had fun throwing a ball for Leo. Emma was thrilled that she could finally tall enough to touch the bottom of the shallow end. Nick joined us when he was done golfing. We look forward to many more weekends like this one! The summer has just started!! It was a perfect weekend but I was happy to get home and get to bed!

Braeden's Birthday Parties!
Braeden had a great birthday. Friday I was able to go to school and have lunch with him. He was so surprised! I really enjoyed being able to spend some time with him. Friday night we had a family party. Everyone came over for cake and ice cream. It was a beautiful day so we all played outside all evening. Saturday he had a friend birthday party at a pizza place in town. All the kids had a blast! Nick and I are birthday partied out for awhile.

No Training Wheels!!
Braeden is finally riding without training wheels. We are so proud of him. All the boys in the neighborhood have been riding for a couple years! Now Braeden can catch up to them. It was so surreal. We told Braeden we were just going to take them off. He was timid at first but Nick held on so Braeden could get on his bike. Braeden started pedaling and Nick let go. Off he went. He zoomed past me and I just couldn't believe it. It was that easy! He has trouble getting started but his friends helped him all afternoon yesterday...so did the neighbors! It was so cute and all he wanted to do was ride his bike.

Winter Garage Sale
It was so cold on Saturday. We planned a garage sale and never expected it to be 40 degrees and windy. Good thing I knit hats for my boys! They came in handy. What a day for a garage sale! We had a great turnout though and got rid of a lot of our stuff. It was our first and next time we will plan it for June so maybe it will be warmer!!

1 Year Check-Up
Charlie had his 1 year check-up and he sure has come a long way. We no longer have to worry about weight with Charlie. He has lots of rolls and chubby cheeks. We did find out that he has an ear infection. The bad mom that I am played it off as teeth. He didn't have a fever but was cranky. He is cutting 3 teeth so I just assumed his teeth were bugging him. He is now on antibiotics and is doing a lot better. He had 3 shots and his finger pricked at the doctor. I am very proud of my tough little man!

Charlie's Birthday Party
What a great day for a party! It was a busy day on Saturday. Emma and Braeden had a birthday party in the afternoon at our neighbors' house. It was Emma's first 'friend' birthday party without mom and dad there. She looked so cute and was so excited to go. Braeden had to pick up his MAYBA uniform so one of Emma's daycare friends came and walked with her to the party.

I was able to get a lot done with the older two not at home! Charlie took a great nap so that helped as well! The weather was perfect and everyone was able to play outside. It was a great day!! It is always so draining to plan and get ready for a party. The end result is worth it though. Thanks to everyone that was able to come and celebrate Charlie's first birthday. He had a great time and LOVED his cake.

Week in review...
This week was the longest week ever!! Sunday cleaned and rearranged things in the basement. Graham and Nick moved my washer and dryer to the basement Saturday night. I LOVE IT!! My entryway is huge now and I love having my laundry in the basement. Sunday afternoon the kids had swim lessons at the YMCA with Auntie Alli. They all got to get in the pool and loved it. Braeden even went down the water slide by himself 4 times. He has been so terrified of any water slides so this was a great accomplishment for him. Come to find out Nick bribed him with two scoops of ice cream ;)
Monday started out with two sick kids (Nick and Braeden). They were both home for the entire day. Braeden enjoyed watching movies all day and Nick enjoyed not doing much. Braeden realized that when you are home sick from school you can't play outside with friends. His friends came over to ask him to play outside. He was so bummed when we said no. He went to school Tuesday ;)
The week is always filled with lots to do. Emma has swim lessons and Braeden is in TaeKwonDo. I can't wait until all 3 are involved in things. Man...will we be going nonstop then.
Charlie took some more steps Wednesday night. He is up to 10 before falling. We are sure he will be walking around the house for his 1st birthday, which is only a week away. I can't believe it!!
Tonight we delivered May Day baskets to my sisters and my parents. Braeden and I assembled them this afternoon. I told him how we were going to sneak up to the door, ring the doorbell and run away. He loved the idea. Emma was in on it too. It was so much fun but we did hang around to say hello to everyone.
As I type this I have 3 sleeping kids. I LOVE BED TIME!! It has been a long busy week and I am looking forward to relaxing this weekend.
