Marching Band

Ah..the joys of listening to the drum and bugle corps warming up for Thunder of Drums tonight. I love living in town so I can hear all of this again. I dropped Braeden off at book camp this afternoon and The Troopers were at Dakota Meadows practicing. Brings back memories of my days in the Lancers. Oh how I miss those days some times...the ease of just enjoying the summer by marching, hanging out with friends and going on tour! Fun times!! It really brought back some fun memories BUT I promise I won't get my flute or piccolo out and start playing away.

Summer Break

The last few weeks have been busy. We are trying to settle into a schedule. The weather has been so crappy so the kids and I have been trying to find things to keep busy. We finally have a few days without rain now. I bought a small pool for the backyard. It is similar to the one that I bought last summer, 4 times because it kept popping! HAHA...lets hope I have better luck this summer. We were able to play in the yard all day yesterday. It is nice to get out and enjoy the sun. I have been doing yard work and trying to move things around outside. It is coming along slowly but it is looking pretty good. We are still waiting for our counter tops to be installed in the kitchen. They are sitting in my garage waiting. The projected install time is July 11th. Only a few more weeks. I have made it this long I can surely wait a few more. Pictures are hung and we are getting more settled every day. We only have a few more things to get done inside then we can say it is all done...FOR NOW ;)

Braeden starts his 1st book camp today. He is so excited and I hope he has a great time. It is a Magic Tree House book camp! We love reading those books so I am sure it will be a blast! Emma will start dance technique class in a couple weeks so that should be fun for her as well. It is hard to believe that June is almost over. The summer is flying by and I just want to bottle up my kids to enjoy every second!

It will be a pool day today and then Emma has t-ball tonight. We have a full day ahead of us!

T-Ball

I signed Emma up for t-ball this year. She is on an all girls team and is so stinking cute! She has watched her brother play for the last 3 years so I thought it was her turn to be watched. She had her first game tonight and did really well. It is so cute to watch the little girls play ball.

Pictures...

Here are some pictures of our house. We are still getting things put away, hung up and organized. My office area is a work in progress but it will all come together. We have only lived here a week and a half. It feels like home and that is most important! Our bar counter tops were installed today. They look awesome! Now we should get the rest of the counter tops installed next weekend. I am so excited to have it all done!!

Settling In

I think I can almost say that everything is unpacked and we are getting pretty settled in. Every room has been painted in this house. I just finished our bedroom and the new wall in the hallway today. What a great accomplishment. I said the best thing about painting is taking the tape off when you are done! I AM DONE! I am not painting anymore. Mark my words because I am so sick of it right now. The next painting will be done when Emma and Charlie switch rooms. Nick has been patient with me and pretty good about hanging everything that I ask. He put our TV up in our room tonight after coaching B's baseball team. What a great hubby he is! I feel like our room is finally coming together and it looks amazing. Now for the countertops. They were suppose to install our bar counters today but someone got sick so they will get in tomorrow. We are use to being pushed off so what is one more day ;) The rest of our counters are sitting in the garage and will be done by the end of the month. I feel like I can rest now and enjoy my new space. I will post pictures after the bar counters go in tomorrow.

Moving in....

We officially moved into our house yesterday. What a day it was! I had graduation set-ups, a wedding delivery and set-up, birthday deliveries and a few other graduation orders that were picked up. It was a crazy crazy morning. Plus, Braeden had baseball pictures, we had a graduation party to attend and a birthday party to go to. We survived and were home ready to move by 1:30pm. I was exhausted before we even started. We got it done though thanks to some great friends and my awesome brother in law, Nick. Thanks to everyone that helped. It is greatly appreciated and we promise you that we won't ever move again. I am sick of packing and unpacking! I am happy to be in my home. The remodel isn't 100% done but it is close. There are some finishing items that need to be attended to. Now the fun begins...unpacking! Trying to find a spot for everything always is a daunting task. We are accomplishing a lot and the kids love to help. Charlie isn't quite sure about everything and didn't want to nap today and still won't stay in his bed for sleeping tonight. He is with Nick down the basement. I am sure it is a big change for him having his own room again. He shared with Braeden and Emma for the last 10 months. It will take a few days for us all to get us to the change. I am really going to miss my parents! My mom and I enjoyed our days together with all the kids. It is great to have your own space and house and I am so happy to be home....BUT I will miss them still. It was kind of sad leaving today. I appreciate all they have done for us this past year! We don't know where we would be without them. I will be visiting lots this summer with the kids and I am sure mom will be coming over here some too. We all just have to get use to the change. Ah...now off to bed so that I can start working when I wake up. It will all get done some day!
