I haven't posted pictures in a while so I thought I would post a slide show. We have been busy...

Busy weekend...

We had a busy but fun weekend. Braeden had his first basketball game on Saturday afternoon. Nick is one of the coaches and it was so fun to watch both of them. Braeden got his first basket ever in the big hoops during the game. Of course my camera was not on so I didn't capture his face. He was so thrilled and the look on his face was priceless. Auntie Molly and Uncle Nick were there to witness it as well. We were all so proud. After his game we all went out for lunch. It was a great day. We then spent the evening with Nick's family and his grandparents' house.

Yesterday we thought we would relax all day and do nothing but that doesn't happen that often when you have 3 kids. We ran errands most of the day. Nick and the kids were able to get outside and shovel. Poor Charlie just can't get over the crud. He was feeling well for a few days. Yesterday he went downhill all day. By last night he was hoarse and had a terrible cough. We were up and down all night with him. I feel awful for him. He is starting to get wheezy and I just hope it stops there. We are going to Milwaukee on Friday to meet Helena. I don't want to bring this crud with us!

I hope everyone has a great day. I have a busy busy busy day today. There is no school so I have 3 - school agers, 3 - 3 year olds, 1 - almost 2 year old and Charlie. A good nights sleep would have prepared me better for this day ;)

Long winter nights.....

It is so cold here! I am sick of these temps and so is everyone else. They closed school for tomorrow because of the expected wind chills. It is 9:30pm and already -40 degree wind chills. The temperatures are just going to continue to plummit all night long. Why do we live here? I am thankful that I work in my home so I don't have to venture out in this awful weather. Emma, Charlie and I haven't been out of the house since Sunday morning. I thought about that today and decided we needed to get out for a little while tonight. Nick, the kids and I went to Target and to the grocery store. It was perfect because Nick drove and I just ran in without the kids. We all got out of the house and no one had to get out of the van. We are so glad that we purchased our minivan with the dvd system installed. Braeden picked out a movie to watch and that kept him and Emma busy for the trip. Charlie was less than thrilled but he survived and needed to get out as well.

I am now trying to plan what I will do to keep Braeden busy all day tomorrow. Boredom means naughty so we have to keep him occupied! He loves to be a helper so I am sure that I can find some fun jobs around the house for him....sorting toys sounds like a good one ;)

I hope that everyone is staying warm! It is suppose to be in the high 30s on Monday....shorts weather for people in Minnesota ;)

Flooded Toilet

Nothing good comes from quiet kids!! Mom and I were having lunch and Emma and Sean were suppose to be watching cartoons. We went down to check on them and there was 2 inches of standing water in the bathroom. They were having a blast playing and splashing around in the water. We asked Emma what happened and she said the water wouldn't go down. Emma flushed a whole container of wipes down the toilet. We also think Sean's socks got flushed! Look at these cute pictures!

What's happening....

We have had a busy week so far. Braeden started basketball last night. Nick is one of the coaches and said that practice went very well. Braeden all has Tae Kwon Do on Tuesdays so he was pretty tired last night. He is growing up so quickly. He lost his second tooth on December 27th. He is now missing both his bottom front teeth.

I just finished a hat for Charlie. It is so cute!! My niece, Helena, has a hat similar. I saw it and thought of Charlie. I found a pattern and went for it. He was less than thrilled today when I tried to take pictures of him with it on. It took some distractions but here it is:

We survived!

My poor kids were sick the entire weekend. I took all 3 of them in to the doctor on Friday. It was quite the chore since Emma had the pukes. I didn't feed anyone breakfast or give anyone anything to drink until we got home. It turned out that Emma had an ear infection, pink eye and a stomach virus. Braeden had pink eye and a bad cold. Charlie had pink eye. It was a long weekend at the Otto house. Emma had a rough night on Friday but started feeling better Saturday afternoon. No one else got the stomach virus that she had so that was good. Now we are trying to get everyone over the pink eye and the cold. Braeden has a terrible cough. He coughs nonstop all day and night. Poor kid!

My day is so quiet today. Braeden started back to school today. He was home for 2 weeks for winter break. I sure miss him and look forward to hearing how his day went. I have ejoyed the quiet day today. I think I deserved that after the long weekend we had!!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great New Year celebration. We were able to celebrate with some friends at our house. It was a great start to the New Year!! The kids were able to play and enjoy all the snacks too.

Today I woke up to get ready for the daycare kids to come. Emma was up and down all night but we thought she was just being a pistol. Well I guess she was sick. She woke up this morning and got sick. I knew it was going around but I was hopeful we would avoid it at our house. She has mattery eyes as well and is complaining of an ear ache. Braeden just got up and his eyes were mattered shut too. We will all be heading off to the doctor this morning. Hopefully no one pukes on the way or while we are there! Please say some prayers!! I can't stand the pukes!!
