We had another fun filled day today. The kids were still tired from yesterdays events but we were able to make it through Animal Kingdom without renting a stroller for Braeden and Emma. We really enjoyed Animal Kingdom because we were able to meet a lot of characters and not wait in long lines at all. We made the trek to Camp Mickey and Minnie right away and only waited for 20 minutes at the most for each character. We had the right idea because as we were leaving the lines were so long and the waits were an hour. Finally timed something right! We walked around for awhile at Animal Kingdom but it was not our favorite park at all. The kids were whiny, it was hot out and there were a ton of people. We headed to Rainforest Cafe for lunch and to sit for a little while and rest. It was perfect! After lunch we headed back to our car and then drove over to Epcot.
Epcot was so much fun for Nick and I. We got a stroller for Braeden and Emma to ride in. It was so perfect because it eliminated so many whiny moments from the kids. Nick and I were able to enjoy walking around, sight seeing and of course people watching. When we arrived we headed right away to do the tour of all the countries. It was perfect. We got the kids ice cream cones then Nick and I got some drinks. We were able to walk around, shop and have fun. We bought the kids pins to start trading with the workers at the parks. They had a ball and so did I. It is fun to see all the pins everyone has and to trade for new fun ones. We walked all of Epcot and when we got back to the beginning we did the rides. We timed that perfectly. We didn't have to wait in any lines and the kids had a great time.
Poor Charlie woke up with the barky cough and progressively got worse throughout the day. He was quite the trooper though. We let him just ride all day. He did get out and walk some at the Animal Kingdom but he would start wheezing almost immediately. We just let him hang out and take it easy today. By the time we got back to the entrance of Epcot I knew Charlie was going downhill fast. He was so warm and just looked awful. I took him into the baby care center and they had everything he needed. I bought some motrin and that was our saving grace. I was thrilled they had something for him. It helped us make it through a few more rides, supper and the ride back to the hotel. Tomorrow we are doing a pool day. We are all exhausted and just need to recover a little from the last two days. We still have a lot to do so we have to regroup and make a plan.
We are off to bed and hope that the rain stays away tomorrow so we can swim all day. We are then going to head to Hard Rock for supper with the kids. It should be another great day. We have all had a blast and wish we had two weeks instead of just one here!!
