Our House
What a great feeling to say that we have our house now! The renters have moved out as of April 17th. The locks have been changed and we are preparing for a big overhaul this month. I am so excited to get started yet so busy with my dessert business that I am not finding the time to get over to the house to start. I will take pictures of the before and after. It will be a big change and I can't wait. The carpet guys have measured, the contractor (Mike Krediet) was over yesterday making a plan and now we just wait for it all to happen. Nick and his friend Trevor will be working on the ceilings and some sheet rocking. I will be painting every room to just clean it up and make it ours again. I am so EXCITED! We are hoping to be in the house in the beginning of June. Crossing my fingers because that will be coming up so fast. If anyone wants to come help clean, paint or work come on down ;) We would love the help!

Easter Bike Ride
Here is a video of Charlie riding his Strider Bike. It is so cute and he has come a long way. He is balancing on it and for him the faster the better!
Happy Easter
What a fabulous day we had...except for the fact that the kids have gotten up early every day this weekend. I awoke to Charlie saying..."Mommy I peed my bed Okay." NO Not Okay!! UGHH...this was at 6:30am. Let the games begin. The kids were all up and searched for their Easter baskets. I love that! I love watching them get more frustrated as they get older. As a child I both hated and loved the excitement of trying to find my Easter basket. Sometimes I would find it before church but as I got older it seemed that the basket was not found until after church...well after church! The kids only took about 30 minutes. Then we headed upstairs for round two. How fun! Nick, Braeden, Emma and I went to church. Charlie stayed home with my mom which worked out perfectly for both of us. After church Molly, Nick and Rylan came over for brunch and an egg hunt. Mom always out does herself and the kids had a blast. We sure missed Alli, Sean, Isaac, Andrew, Patsy and Graham this year. It just isn't the same without you all here! What a beautiful day though. The kids were able to play outside all afternoon. Mom made a fabulous turkey with the fixings for supper. It was amazing and now I am ready for bed! Here are some pictures of our great day and some from dying Easter eggs yesterday. Enjoy!!

Rejuvenated!
Nick and I made it home from Vegas today. The flight was awful with a lot of turbulence. We landed safely so that is all that matters! It was so nice to get away for a few days. I really needed to not think about anything and just enjoy my hubby. We relaxed and slept in every day. Tomorrow is going to be rough getting up early for work.
Tomorrow I will be spending the day working on Easter orders. I miss my kids but I must work too. They should have a fun morning and we can play all afternoon.
Thanks to my parents, Nick's parents and Patsy for all the help while we were gone! We really appreciate it!

Vegas
Nick and I are having a great time in Vegas. It is a much needed vacation for both of us. We are staying off the strip at a fabulous Marriott hotel. It is the JW Marriott. I highly recommend it if you want a Vegas vacation off the strip. They have a free shuttle to the strip so we have been going at night. Saturday night we walked and walked the strip. Last night we had plans to have a nice supper, take in a show and walk some more. That was the plan! We went to The Paris Hotel and I suggested we go to the top of the Eiffel Tower to see the views. We paid for our tickets and stood in line. We got there right before the line got too long. We maybe waited 10 minutes before getting to the top. When we got to the top that is when it all went bad!! Someone passed out at the top so they blocked half of the tower off. There were probably at least 40 of us at first stuck on half of the tower. We didn't even have the strip side view. The kicker was they kept letting people up but wouldn't let anyone down until the paramedics got here for the lady. It was so frustrating and didn't make any sense. Why would they let people up and not let anyone down? Why were they still letting people up? It was so dumb! It was calm and beautiful when we got up there but the winds changed and it got super windy after a short time. I was done and ready to go down after about 10 minutes. About an hour and 20 minutes later we were on our way down. It was so frustrating. It was now almost 8pm and our show was at 9pm. There went our nice supper before the show. Now we rushed to find somewhere to eat quick and we were rushed to the show. Phew...what a night but we made it back to the hotel in one piece and it got better once the show started. Would I do the Eiffel Tower again..ABSOLUTELY NOT in Vegas anyway. We did get our money back so I guess our experience was free.
Looking forward to another low key day today. It is overcast so we are going to go for a walk and maybe sit by the pool. We are meeting friends for supper. Missing our kids but enjoying this time together.

Dance Pictures
Emma had dance pictures yesterday. Last year it took me 3 hours to curl her hair. This year I got smart and got the sponge rollers and it was magic. She slept in them overnight and didn't even complain. In fact she wanted me to do it again last night after her bath. Her hair turned out really cute and with the costume, make up and all the other items she looked stunning!

Happy Friday!
It has been a very busy few weeks for me and my dessert business. I have had a lot of orders and done a couple events. These all take a lot of planning, baking and time. I have a couple more events next week before Nick and I head off for a much needed vacation. I am really excited to get away for a little while. I have A LOT to get done before I can comfortably leave. It will be another exhausting weekend and week BUT it will be so worth it when I can sit down and veg for a few days.
The kids and I are loving the warmer weather. We spend a lot of time outside riding bikes, playing with chalk, running up and down hills and all the other fun things that come with outdoor activities. My dad took the cover off the pool! It always makes me so excited for the really warm weather when the cover is off. Yeah...a few months ago we were taking pictures of a blizzard and now we have 70 degree temps!
I am also working on planning Braeden's 1st Communion event. It will just be family but I am so proud of him. He is getting excited. We had a class a couple Sundays ago and he was able to taste the bread and the wine. He didn't care for either but is really concerned with having to take a sip of the wine on his actual 1st Communion. We constantly reassure him that he only has to take a little sip and then he doesn't have to take it ever again.
Our other exciting news is that our house will be ours again starting next weekend. We have a lot of work to get it ready but we are excited for this next step. We are ready to have our own place and get our life out of storage. I miss all my stuff but have a new appreciation for all of it!!
I will try to post more often or at least post pics of the kids. I hope everyone is doing well!
